According to the bulletin from WTO/TBT of Guangdong province, America and EU have raised stricter requirements on directional lamp and LED lighting fixtures covering such area like energy saving, ecological design, performance tag, test and examination. Guangdong LED enterprises are expected to face a loss amount of 2 billion yuan.

As the biggest LED application market in the world, Europe America imposes high level technical and safety requirements on Guangdong LED export-oriented enterprises. EU, America, Chile and Uganda etc have set high threshold to directional lamps and LED lighting fixture on their TBT bulletin. Taking EU as an example, only those with an Energy Efficiency Index of more that 0.2 can be exported to EU market, 2.5 times higher than before and 2.2 times of that our country implement recently. It was estimated that LED lamps costs will increase over 20% or say an extra 2 billion yuan.
